- According to the Ombudsman's office, the Acting District Manager did have the authority to make this promise.
- Road-building and logging is going ahead in the area, without the sanction of the LRUP Committee and in branch of the written promise.
- The Forest Minister has denied deferment of activity in the LRUP area. On one hand, he speaks of obligations to logging companies, but on the other hand, he breaks an obligation to the community.
